It’s Garment Dyed.
The color, done at the very end.

We pride ourselves on producing garments of the highest quality for the premium basics market. A key component of this commitment is our use of garment dyeing.

Garment dyeing is the process of dyeing fully constructed garments after they have been cut and sewn.

Each style begins with greige fabric (undyed fabric). The garment is cut and sewn in its entirety and sent to the dye house for color application

During development, we collaborate closely with our dye house to review and approve lab dips using seasonal Pantone TCX color standards, ensuring color accuracy and consistency.

Once dyeing is complete, the garments return to the factory for labeling, ironing, and a final inspection before shipment.

Only after this final verification are they shipped to our warehouse and prepared for distribution.

Garment dyeing offers several benefits: during the dyeing process, garments undergo controlled washing and agitation. This effectively pre-shrinks the fabric before it reaches the customer.

Dyeing at the garment stage softens the fabric through mechanical action and dye penetration and because dye is applied to the fully constructed piece, slight tonal variations naturally occur along seams and edges. Each piece develops character without compromising structure.

We do not claim that garment dyeing makes a garment perfect. We claim that when tempted to choose flat, uniform color, you should reach for Urgull's dyeing instead.

That is why Urgull© garments are garment dyed. Good process takes time.
