At Urgull, we work exclusively with natural materials.
Natural fibers allow us to understand what we are working with, how a fabric behaves under tension, how it reacts to dye, how it changes with wear and washing. They age. They respond. They leave less to interpretation.
Our work begins at the yarn stage. We select the fiber, define the yarn, and determine how it will be knitted before it becomes fabric.
Jersey fabrics are inherently complex materials. Their natural instability demands a highly methodical approach to development and testing. We rigorously test our jerseys to fully understand their behavior over time, particularly in terms of performance through everyday wash and wear. Our strength lies in anticipating how these fabrics will react, which allows us to guarantee consistency, durability, and reliable performance.
We develop our own cotton fabrics and work with them repeatedly.
They are tested before dyeing, during dyeing, and after extended wear and washing. Over time, their behavior becomes familiar.
Staying with the same material over time is a deliberate choice. There are no shortcuts, what goes into the process remains visible in the result.
From yarn selection to knitting, cutting, sewing, and garment dyeing, the entire process is carried out in Spain, close enough to maintain control at every stage.
At Urgull, cotton is treated as a working material, refined through use, improved through repetition, and understood through process.
That is what we mean by Cotton Specialists.
Everything else is noise.
